Huzhou

So we live in Huzhou China.  Huzhou is located west of Shanghai and has a population about about 3 million.  The weather is very similar to Atlanta with a rainy season in the Summer.  It is a typical Chinese river town and is one of the 4 cities known for silk in China.
Yeah right.  This is all you hear day and night because the boats also have horns.  So far I have learned that in China you honk if someone is in your way, you honk if you have a green light, you honk if you are turning, you honk if you want to greet someone, you honk if you are passing someone, you honk if you are backing up, you honk to let someone know you are there, you honk if you want to turn right across a lane and someone is in your way, you honk when you have a red light and you are going to go anyway, you honk when a pedestrian is in the road because you are certainly not going to slow down for them, you honk when someone pulls out onto the road, you honk when someone is parking, you honk when someone slows down, you honk when you drive the wrong way down a road, you honk just because you can.

This is China's mode of transporting goods

This is how we bribe them to eat their supper.  For some reason they love these little rides which are all over the place here, evidently the Chinese children love them too.
 Studying their geography :)
This is what happens everywhere we go.  Madi is the favorite, but they do love touching Kenzie's hair and obviously they want to take pictures with all three of them.  I'm pretty sure we are all over the Chinese social networks...
This little girl has a diaper on, but most of the babies here do not wear diapers, their pants are slit and their little buns hang out and they just go when nature calls.  Seems kinda dangerous to me, but it must work out.  I have noticed though as it is getting colder that you see more wearing either diapers or some kind of cloth diaper.  Luckily I have not had any issue finding diapers, they are more expensive than in the states and I mainly only see Huggies.
