Apartment 2

This is part two of the previous entry, the server was having problems with the pictures so I had to start over...

We have a 3 bedroom apartment with a western style toilet.  Normal Chinese toilets are flat with the ground, American's call them squater toilets, not so sure that is how they are referred to here.  Basically you take an American toilet and put it down in the ground until the only thing above ground is the porcelain seat then you put feet tread on the seat.  Basically they stand to do their business but then the toilet still flushes and functions like a western style toilet.
You can see the entrance and the door to the kitchen along with Kaylie's head :)
Kitchen, most people do not have ovens, I miss cookies!  Also the view from my kitchen window, they do not have clothes dryers in China so everything is hung outside.  The HOA in my neighborhood at home would pass out.
This is standing in front of the entrance to our bedroom, you can see the entryway, kitchen and what is now Madi's room.  It was set up to be the girls room but it was the smallest bedroom.
This is the main room, living room on one end and dining room on the other.

This is our new desk, it was pretty much the highlight of my week watching 2 guys try to put it together.
 Girls table and chairs
Madi's room
These two love sitting in the suitcase and playing, guess they don't want to risk being left behind :)

Kenzie and Kaylie's room

 Bathroom and washing machine
They don't have any closets in the apartments so they use these wardrobes, we have one in our room and there is one more in Kenz and Kaylie's room
Our room
This is the balcony off Kenz & Kaylie's room, the girls like to play out there but we mainly use it for drying laundry

This is the 'look' Kaylie and I normally get from Kenz
This is where we live.  These are actually really nice apartments for China especially since we are in more of a rural area.  We are still trying to get used to the bed, it is like sleeping on an American box spring.  One side has plywood so most people here sleep on that side during the summer, then in the winter they flip it to the spring side, we flipped ours after a week because all my bones hurt so now we sleep on the spring side, but I'm not sure that is any better, you have to try to lay between the springs that poke out more...
