We are heading home soon. Four days to be exact, I could probably give you the exact hours but that might make me seem desperate. We are going to visit Kyle's parents for a couple weeks and then visit mine for a few weeks. Kyle has to come back to China for a month but I decided to stay for some extra time with my family. At the end of our mini vacation we get to go visit some of our amazing friends in California, we are so excited! China is good but it is always nice to get a break, hear some English, eat some cheesecake, eat a steak, or just eat meat in general! This post is really just going to be random photo's of Huzhou that I have taken while being here that have not made it on any of the other posts. Sorry if you have already seen some of them, I couldn't remember exactly which pictures I have already posted.
Sugar Cane - It actually is kinda good, as long as you do what the locals do and spit as you eat it.
Dentist Office. Scary.
Kyle and I call this the 'manriff'. Ever since the rains stopped the heat has set in. I mean this is Texas heat and humidity or worse. So all the guys either wear just their underwear or they pull their shirts up or off. This is a terrible picture of it, but the only one I have. Clothing for men seems optional in China.
The pool in our complex opened. It was great the first few days, but a lack of cleaning and chemicals has made the second week highly questionable. I'm glad I won't be here to see what it looks like by week 8. The girls are so happy though, they have been swimming every day.
After 30 days straight of rain in the month of June the river was high and there was a lot of debris floating in it. So they did a 'boat train', about 12 boats tied together and gave everyone a log pole with a net on the end and had them 'clean' the river. The barges were loaded with junk that they had picked out on their way down the river. It was crazy, by the last day in June there was virtually no boat traffic, I have only seen that happen during the Chinese New Year. At the end of the month these guys came through and the next day boat traffic was back to normal.

The girls spent days trying to catch tadpoles.

Dinner with my friend Angela and her family
| Madi wanted nothing to do with this picture. This is Angela's mother in law and her daughter Xiao Tangguo - which means 'little candy' |
The Chinese like to move full grown trees.
Church we found in downtown Huzhou
Gathering around the kids
Trash is a major problem in China. People here do not use trash cans, everything just gets thrown in the streets and they expect the old people who clean to pick it up, actually I'm not sure they even think about what will happen to it.
The girls spent most of June under umbrellas
With Xiao Tangguo feeding the gold fish
Laundry. Not sure how anything could go into this water and come out cleaner
We took the girls on a boat ride
In the summer everyone flips their mattress to the board side and then they put these bamboo 'sheets' on their bed and lay on top of them. It is supposed to be cooler. They also use what looks like bamboo place-mats to sit on in their home and car.
Playing on the bus. This is definitely Kaylie's favorite mode of transportation
